I have always loved ice cream. As a young kid I remember the Dicky Dee trikes in Tillsonburg, Ontario. Dexter has the local Dairy Queen which is still the small walk up window that holds nostalgia, and on a Friday night in the summer there is always a lineup.
Monster Jam has always been an event I’ve attended but I have never been a fan of one driver like I am with Kyle Busch in NASCAR or Hinch in Indy. It’s just been a fun event. Sure you have your legends, Dennis Anderson will always be Grave Digger and Tom Meentz is Maximum Destruction or Max D. But now each have become their own brand with several trucks being in multiple cities on one night.
Detroit see’s two stops on the Monster Jam tour, each time with different trucks. January 30th saw trucks like Grave Digger, Mohawk Warrior, Scarlett Bandit, and Bounty Hunter.
The 2016 season introduced a few new trucks. One of which is Roy Pridgeon driving the Ice Cream Man fielded by Razin Kane Monster Trucks. Something about this truck captivates me and made me an immediate fan.
Ice Cream Man took on the mighty Grave Digger in the final round of Monster Jam Saturday night in Detroit. The underdog team taking on the icon. But fell to the giant Grave Digger who took the win overall in racing.
His freestyle show was not a disappointment either! There was no back flips like Ryan Anderson in Son Uva Digger or George Belham in Mohawk Warrior. It was a good clean old fashioned freestyle show.
