NAIAS: The Track Days of Summer

The North American International Auto Show. The time where Detroit comes alive with the glitz and glamour of chrome and leather. This year did not disappoint, we had our share of concepts, the new to market vehicles, the premiers, and the production.

Many have a preconceived notion that I can go to a car dealer and see these cars. Some yes, but not all.

As a racer winter is the worst time of year, knowing the snow in the Northern part of the country means no car racing, unless the bay freezes. Which this year it has not. Shortening the ice race season to 0. The race cars at the show, give the racers (like me) the first glimpse and hope of the summer  track days.

1 more weekend and the roar of the race engines are back as we set our sites on the first big race of the season the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
